I've bought many 3rd party controllers and none of them have lasted as long as any of my equivilent Nintendo controllers. Even if you save money immediatly, It has always cost me more in the long run.

Are you talking about wii controllers or some earlier models? For the official price I can get 3 sets(mote, motionplus, nunchuk) of 3rd party controllers. I believe they will last longer than the one official set.

Previous systems, like the SNES, N64, and GC. The last one I ever bought was a knockoff wavebird and it died in about 2 months (the analog stick center would always drift no matter what)

Also, in the US there is no way you buy three 3rd party sets for the same price as an official Nintendo set.

Nintendo Wii Remote Plus & Nunchuck = $60 list or $44 on Amazon
Wii Wand Plus &Kama= $60 list, or $35 on Amazon
If you want to go as cheap as possible you can get a regular Wii Remote from MadCatz and Nunchuck for $45 list, or $23 on Amazon if you don't mind going pink.

So you don't know how those 3rd party wii controllers will last. :P

Also, I live in EU. Wiimote with motion plus is 50€ and nunchuk 20€ online, on local retail even more. That is roughly 100$.

A 3rd party wiimote, motionplus and a nunchuk costs 30$ (21€) including delivery costs and you can't tell the difference.
