I think people are being harsh on Castlevania sales, it's not a megaselling series and the genre it's in doesn't have many big sellers. All thing said and done it'll probably settle around just above a million. Hard to call but considering Bayonetta, Darksiders, Dantes Inferno etc all stopped around 1.4m it's not like Konami could have been gunning for 2 million sales. I hope lol. We'll see a sequel i reckon, mainly because it's still going to sell more then pretty much everything else Konami do outside of MGS.

Enslaved really has bombed though, Namco just didn't market the thing at all. No one knew what it was and it was launching against alot of established IP's, Ninja Theory have alot of talent but they need to make something more marketable then Enslaved was. I reckon DMC will do okay for them though.

Also with regards to Heavenly Sword, it sold the bulk of it's 1.3m sales at a slashed price in the bargain bucket, so not much money was really left by then to go back to Ninja Theory.

Yeah, true, after the opening sales i thought Castlevania was going to bomb, but its holding up pretty well imo. and it could probabily do over 1mil lifetime.

dunno what went wrong with Enslaved, there were adverts on tv, web ads, newspapers, magazines, they released a demo. i thought it wouldve done a lot better really, dissappointing for such a great developer. but it could pick up, its getting very good word of mouth.

i think DMC could do very well, just not as well as Capcom want, which is 5 mil. however i've heard the unreal engine that NT are using is not the best for DMC, so we could have some problems with that as well.
