Vanquish isn't for guys who play games only once. Nor is it for people who don't like the value proposition of arcade games. If you're the kind of guy who likes playing games and having fun at learning the mechanics and getting better and looking amazing while doing it, then Vanquish is the best game released in a while.

Vanquish and games like it ( Bayonetta) are packaged the way they are without a proper mechanic for longevity. Games intentionally made to last do last by volume in sales and quality this generation. One must be hardcore to truly play these one player titles over and over again. Most people who get Vanquish will find it to be a really great game, but not worth $60. The same goes for the force unleashed. Of course everything has to do with the consumers individual opinion, but on an objective standpoint from time put into the game its blatantly obvious that Vanquish is the weakest link out of the 3 games based on forms of intrinsic value to todays moderate consumer. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Vanquish demo even more than Enslaved, but seriously, Enslaved has the solid story, decent gameplay and longer hours of play even though it isn't by much. That tips the scales.

I'm sorry, but hta'ts not objective.
As I said before: the value proposition made by Vanquish is that it's like an arcade game. It'si mmensely replayable because it is fun to replay, even without the dangling carrot of further incentive. I never pretended that Vanquish is for everyone (it's not; it's for the hardest of the hardcore and the oldest of the oldschool) but saying that there is an objective standard by which Enslaved is superior is fallacious. Story doesn't matter in Vanquish, hours of play takes a backseat to the fact that it's the most replayable game since God Hand, and it's got the most pitch-perfect gameplay of any shooter I've ever played on a console.

I never stated Enslaved was superior. I stated on levels of intrinsic value for the moderate consumer Enslaved has more to offer even though I like Vanquish more. That is objective. My subjective opinion is that I like Vanquish more, despite its short timespan.
