It sold heaps, quickly but then didn't have the puff the keep it going and in a sort of funny tortoise/hare thing it started getting outpaced. I wonder sometimes if a bit more performance and a modern GPU architecture alongside a couple more buttons might have seen it off at #1 well into 2011 if not indefinately.

If it didn't have the puff to keep it going past 110 million then so be it. You act like 75 plus million in a few years isn't enough. It has outsold all their previous home console systems and will easily sell 100 plus million lifetime. You act like it is no small feat what the Wii has pulled off. Yea, I'll wait 4-5 more years for the 360 (if it is still around which it won't be) or PS3 to outsell it (probably won't even happen).
