wii dominance at a close?

I said it ages ago but I'll say it again, this gen is unpredictable.

Seriously who could have ever predicated how things are.

-At first everyone thought Sony would dominate the gen, then the price was revealed.

-People laughed at Nintendo's new machine, Wii name lol, everyone thought it was doomed cuz of the specs, but hell that sucker just kept on selling regardless of software

-for the first time, the leading console lacked almost all of the major 3rd party games, and yet it kept selling.

-Despite the wii install base, most all 3rd party games focused solely on making PS3/360/PC games

-Now the Wii sales are in decline while it's competition is either maintaining sales YoY or simply selling more YoY


To be honest, I would not be surprised if all of a sudden we have a situation where the Wii drops to 3rd place...I know the faithful may not even want to consider this, but it could actually happen, especially if Wii continues its decline and it's competition continue there increase, just remember that unlike the PS3/360, the wii lacks good 3rd party support to fill in the gaps in it's release, add to this the fact that Move and Kinect may indeed start to steal Wii's sales and you have a recipe for this happening.

in any case, time will tell how things really go.
