I wouldn't exactly call it pre-orders since the game is already available... Though as an alpha version only. But still, it's a very enjoyable version already and Notch is practically encouraging people to buy it sooner rather than later. And alpha or not, it sure is much more fun and polished than the 'final' version of Final Fantasy XIV. (Yeah, I had to bring it up, I've heard it be called alpha so many times :P )
Anyway, great to see smaller games do this well. I myself only found out about Minecraft's idea quite lately, and as soon as I saw a single video, I knew I was going to love it. The sad this is, I don't have enough time to play it :-/
