Wait a minute, just noticed.

VGC had the Wii selling more than it actually shipped for the quarter?

Nope VGC never had Wii over 75.90M. It's not even over 75M yet.

I mean the shipment for the quarter. Not lifetime. It says it right in my first post (Bolded and underlined).

Well its clear there was a lot of Wii's left over from the last shipment ninty made in the previous quarter.....so Wii's left over from last quarter got sold in this quarter too..meaning retailers wanted less Wii's in, lowering shipments.

As LTD sales are ok compared to VGC figures thats the only explanation

Although it's not by a significant margin, I'm inclined to think that we're overtracking the Wii. Simply because the July-September quarter is usually when companies stuff the channel to a certain degree in anticipation of the holidays. I would think the difference between shipped and sold this quarter would expand a bit, unless there was already a lot of stock in the channel after the April-June quarter. 1.55 million in the channel is a comparatively low amount to what Wii usually has in the channel after this quarter (usually over 2 million).

But then again Wii has been selling at a notably slower rate recently so you could make an argument that there's not as much of a need to have more stock available.
