Third platform would hardly change anything as DA:O shipped more than double compared to ME2 first quarter they were out. You just can't accept that your argument fails. By sales perspective there really isn't much reasons to change DA to be more like ME.

Its not just a matter of there being three platforms vs two.
Dragon Age was on two platforms that get most sales from physical copies. Mass Effect 2 was only on one. I don't think I've even seen physical copies of Mass Effect 2. I just presume they exist.
Also, who said DA is becoming more like ME? If anything its becoming more hack n' slash like Fable based on the video I saw.

The one character, the dialog wheel, the more action based combat. It all plays a part. That might be my biggest gripe with the whole deal, I preferred two individual, unique and quality games and now we get mass effect and mass effect swords edition.

So are Gears Of War and God Of War 3 the same type of game?
I mean one has a TPS combat system....one has a hack n slashy combat system
so now they are one and the same and have nothing unique about eachother?
Please read what you are saying......DA and ME will still feel different.

Darth you haven't played the PC version of DA... It was a lot different than Mass Effect and I too would have prefered they didn't go the ARPG route, and refine the system that was from DA:O... (im excited nonetheless) Because the way you controlled your powers was vastly different than in Mass Effect. And plus their previous action RPG was not so good combat wise (Jade Empire) Though ME1 was a bad shooter too and they improved it significantly in ME2
for you it would be like if they made final fantasy an ARPG
oh wait :P

lol your comment makes sense now.
But like I said I am not a PC gamer, my point of view is from the console side, its really not my problem if we got a worse battle system on consoles......I can't pretend to like DA's combat system because PC got a better one, my view will be based on the one I played on.....because if it remains similar we'd probably get the worse one with DA2 as well. So I am happy with the decision Bioware has made as a console fan!
I would be fine with a mainline Final Fantasy with an ARPG battle system.
