I know the future. I know the sun will come up tomorrow morning. I know there will be a US presidential election in 2012, and I know Metroid: Other M will not manage to exceed any of the main series Metroid titles.
The reasons have been outlined in this thread, game sales follow patterns that reflect the response of the public. It's already clear what pattern Metroid Other M is following, and the idea that it will suddenly hit an audience that loves it and sales break out is extremely unlikely at this point.
