This year I'm at 21 already and there's at least 5 more before the end of the year. I also feel that this year I've bought less than previous years :S... But then again I don't buy many games day 1 and am always on the lookout for deals. I've spent around $400 on games this year so that's about $20 average for games. That includes Red Dead, Halo Reach, GoW 3, Heavy Rain, Darksiders, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction and ME2 Collectors Edition for games that released this year.
I really have to slow down on purchases... I have a huge accumulated backlog because of uni. But I'm done in May so then I can finally catch up on 4 years of backlog growth!
