I'm used to saying my birthday is May 26th, 1992, which is mm dd yyyy, not to mention, I had absolutely zero clue that this site was run by a European until after I signed up for it and started using the forums.

I know a good amount of culture from England and Italy, so don't highly doubt anything please...

It's not a little thing actually. The rest (or majority) of the world does it. It's like knowing the difference between kilometers and decimeters and a 24 hour clock is used extensively throughout Earth.

And that's another problem. It helps to know the cultures of other countries, and the mindset of "I'M AN AMERICAN!" isn't all that conducive.
