Aye, the PS2 was using dated hardware at launch. Its main processor is clocked at about 300Mhz, which PCs were running at well before 2000. And the Wii has a very advanced processor in a way that counts far more in these modern times: its power consumption is about 10% that of its competition. With energy crises popping up all over the planet, that's far more impressive to me than an inefficient-but-powerful chip running several separate "cells" at 3GHz each.
