I don't get into the whole hype business, it's really been exploited by a lot of companies as of late, creating hype trains so their games will sell well and whatnot, a lot like the movie biz trying to hype people for big releases.
The game I did get most excited for was Super Smash Bros Brawl, it's the most hyped game this site has ever seen, it's had not one but two official threads cause the original had so many people posting so fast that it crashed the server, and the second thread probably won't be touched as far as number of posts, not until probably next gen and we build up the community more.
Killzone 2 deserves a mention for hype, it's probably the second most hyped game on the site, it was just bad hype, way too many dupe threads, not enough posting in the official thread, and the hype quickly died when the game released, I don't see Killzone 3 getting getting nearly that big, GT5 on the other hand probably will and be a game that deserves every bit of it.
