Give me an Other M-styled full 3D remake of Metroid II. Whatever problems the game had, they really nailed a 3D rendition of the "feel" of 2D Metroids, at least on a level of core gameplay mechanics. I would like to see more R&D styled Metroids in this vein, though they need to restore some of the explorational elements (plot-heaviness i didn't have an issue with, and the way the game herded you to the next spot was nothing that previous Metroids haven't done, but they were more blatantly obvious about where they wanted you to go, instead of having you figure it out by process of elimination)

Though given that Other M's sales clearly sent the message that this series' sales are now utterly dependent on the USA (no matter how hard they try and cross the appeal outside the USA, as Other M was clearly an attempt to do), they may very well go back to Prime, as that's the safe bet.

But i wouldn't take issue with that at all, either, but in Prime's case they need to lean more towards Prime 1 and less towards Prime 3 when Retro Studios takes control again

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
