I dont think so. Good numbers for a new IP.

Bayonetta was a new IP = 90k fist day on PS3 and just 205k LTD.

So no... 40k is bad.

Edit -  PS3 received the worst version of Bayonetta.

Bayonetta received a perfect score from Famitsu...

Vanquish numbers are ok.

360 version only.

And? The game still had more buzz than Vanquish and people who didn't care about the graphics and the frame rate issues still bought the PS3 version and probably loved it just as much as if they would have played the 360 version.
