The difference between GT5 and FFXIII is that we already know that FFXIII disappointed a lot of FF fans and they gave it very bad word of mouth, while we already know that people liked Prologue and developers are doing their best to make GT5 a lot bigger and better than it, so legs should be up to GT series expectations and only the launch, that Sony is doing its best to cripple, is still the big question mark left. But crippling and delaying the launch too much could also make GT5 miss its 1st and biggest Xmas, so if Sony keeps on being so clumsy and masochist, GT5 really risks ending 5th, beating only GT5 Prologue and the other minor releases. I can't believe they delayed it for such a stupid reason as they stated, I hope for them, but a lot more for racing genre sake, that they actually devised they could position its launch better, but still before next Xmas.

FFXIII did disappoint a lot of FF fans, but FFXII also disapointed many fans, and FFXIII has not chance of beating the last proper FF game, FFX. GT5 also has a lot of hype, and expectations to meet. People expect this ame to be better then GT3 and GT4, it's been in development for a lot longer, and has been rebuilt from scratch. However, if it doesn't blow our minds away, it really won't surpass expectations by much, and thus won't sell that strongly.

It has a chance, I'll give it that, but 8.5 million is the most reasonable assumption I can make since the best selling PS3 exclusives only get 5 million sales, and just.
