Personally I wouldn't mind having an old link.
Remember this dude?
Master Orca from Wind Waker was an old character in the "Mr.Miyagi"-like style.
It was very carismatic.
Back in TP Link would turn into a wolf, I wouldn't mind if we would become an old Link at some points of a future Zelda.
