I have asked before how much advertising during a football game costs and have never received an answer.

I doubt a regular season game costs anywhere near the same cost as a playoff game, or better yet a Superbowl game.

 

It surely doesn't come close to what MS is spending on Kinect and they are expecting 3M overall.

 

 

All I am trying to say is that no matter how much the goal posts are moved or no matter how many excuses arise, the Move is a success.

From this vantage point, absolutely. Move will always be compared with the likes of the Wii though (as will Kinect), so in that sense, it makes sense (to them) to call it a failure/flop.

In that same breath, was Move ever really expected to top the Wii?

No, but it was expected to steal marketshare.
