..blablabla

Yeah, cos I hear companies totally get away with outright lies

They mean shipped. If Sony release a number, it almost always means shipped, and if it is sold they will specify a source. If you re-read the original, you will see that it states 1.5 million move main hand controllers. No bullshit

1. Sony currently ships new units _by air_ (this was in the Bloomberg interview but gets neglected by every reporter because they don't see the significance of it). This fact alone tells you whatever percentage of currently manufactured units is not held back for Xmas season is completely sold through to resellers.

2 .Again, Sony sold mainly Starter Packs to distributors (first shipment to Germany was 70'000 Starter Packs and 30'000 (Dildos Navs). Same distribution for Switzerland (and neighbouring countries it seems).

3. Again, Software is NOT a measure of how well move units were selling initially. Software was/is not bundled and many people are buying Starter Packs without additional Move-specific software.

4. johnglen.. there are a few things I'd like to say to you but all of them would get me permabanned instantly. Let's just say if you have nothing to say, don't say it here.

The majority of the difference between what Sony tracks and what ioi tracks is not caused by the time where the product is actually being moved. There will be inventory on shelves for example. Even if Sony ships the move controlers to the EB games warehouses by plane, they need to be trucked out to individual EB games stores.

I'm not sure I understand your 2nd and 3rd point. were they directed at me? I stated that 1.5 million move main hand controllers are out there. I never claimed that that means the install base of move is 1.5 million (even ignore the shipped vs sold thing) because many people will own more than one main controller.
