How would you freshen up a Nintendo franchise for the next gen?

We've had new settings before that were quite well-recieved by the purists (and you have to specify which purists here). After Ocarina, only two mainline Zelda games have occurred in Hyrule, and of those, Minish Cap's hyrule was almost unrecognizable

So we're left with Twilight Princess. Otherwise we've seen wildly varying settings

One, majoras mask, is by far my favorite zelda for being so unique compared to the rest of the franchise. Wind waker is still hyrule, technically. But both stick to the same "time period" with similar techs and cultures. I would like to see a Zelda set in the future or a something like described in OPs post.
