Ohhh wee!!! so now patcher is GOD after all the fanboys trashing him with his every statements about their beloved console before this!!!

Gotta love them fanboys always the first to FLIP FLOP when its not  their beloved console being critisized.

I humbly suggest you refrain from using the word "fanboy." Bans have been given for using this as all it does is inflame the debate to the point where rational individuals become irrational when one calls them on the carpet for their illogical, emotional ties to a brand.

Secondly, there are a lot more PS3 users on this site who are quite vocal than any other console. It has a lot to do with Sony pulling a 360 degree spin in sales with the PS3 from the PS1 and PS2 eras. Some people just don't like to lose and when they are losing, then they get more engaged.

Yeh true no more "fanboys" from here.

now what does "more ps3 users" has to do with the fact that other console fanatics are now rooting for Patcher because he's giving negative comments about PSmove while just a couple of months ago the same crowd  were trashing HIM for his comments about 360/Wii???????

remember the Wii HD prediction or Wii is in trouble? how about when he predicted PS3 will outsell 360? im not sure about this one but I remember he predicted HALO SERIES WAS "declining" there was a thread about it.

PPL trashed him badly on those threads  now all of a sudden WUUUZAA PATCHER IS GOD! because its not their beloved console being critisized?????

Pachter, do to his job, is in the business of market analysis and predictions. Sometimes he will be wrong and sometimes he will be right. In this case, Pachter is right. Where Pachter was wrong was to predict Red Dead Redemption would never be a multi-million seller. Well, Pachter was wrong because the latest VGChartz numbers has Red Dead Redemption running at 6.29 million on the PS3 and 360.

As for Pachter trashing the other systems, which fans take to say it is "domed!" If you go back and re-read Pachter, Anita Frazier and other INDUSTRY analysts, they have been more hard on the Wii than any other system. In fact, Pachter ran with the "blu ray will boost PS3 to the top of this gen" argument when the PS3 came out. Well Pachter, you were dead wrong on blu ray selling the PS3 like DVD did for the PS2.

As for you last sentence, you are right. People love the good INDUSTRY talk about consoles they dislike or hate, but do not want the same standard applied to their beloved console. Fanatics, the branded, or whatever term we may use for such folk want a double standard where when their console is lagging, the INDUSTRY is quiet about it, but when it is doing good they want the INDUSTRY to laud it as if it was the best thing since sliced bread.

People cannot have it both ways. You take the good with the bad, otherwise all you will do is screed once your console gets criticized. A little growing up and taking the lumps with the bumps is all that is asked for from those of us who are not branded by any of the big three console companies.

As for me, I am a sole 360 owner this generation. I have nothing about the 360 to complain about. Last generation and the one before I was playing the PS1 and PS2. In the summer of 2000, I sold my N64 and have not owned a Nintendo console since. I have played the Wii with friends, girlfriends and family who owns the system. I have my little brother to thank for giving me the Wii time to cry my way through Sakamoto destroying the Metroid franchise in Other M.

Due to my experience with the PS1 and PS2, I generally use Sony as my kicking can. I still remember how on top of the world Sony was during both PS1 and PS2 and cannot fathom just how exactly they failed with the PS3. I blame the year extra for blu ray, overpricing until 2009, and technology over games to sell consoles culture within Sony that created the PS3.

I do criticize Microsoft for not developing enough 1st party games with all the studios they have bought up. Likewise, all Nintendo is 1st party games aimed at the family audience. Both have their faults along with Sony, but neither fucked it up like Sony did with the PS3.
