Reports 2007 was the best year of gaming. I agree in terms of revenue but not of profit look at Sony. M$ barely has a profit bc of Halo 3 the only ones i think that made a huge year really was Nintendo with the DS and Wii. |
Profits are for the game business; gaming is all about the games, and we've got some phenomenal ones this year. Factor in that the PS3 underperformed on it's exclusive titles, and I think we have the potential to see an even better year before this generation is out.
Expectations for 2008:
Huge games: GTA4, SSBB, MGS4, MKWii, DMC4, SC:C, Too Human, Fallout 3, Halo Wars, Duke Nukem Forever, Fable 2, etc
WiiFit furthers market expansion
360 hits mass market price (given the Wii, I think we can say that's now $250).
PS3 continues to increase in strength
Nintendo finally gets respectable online gaming
New DS model announced (just a guess)
