i just watched a German TV show where they made a interesting experiment.

they rigged a car in a way that it would show a third person view when you sit inside and then they had a pro-racer and a  gamer compete with each other and the gamer won due to his experience with GTA.

they also did the same with climbing and walking over a narrow plank, and the gamer won all the competitions

here is a preview, the videos should be available tomorrow

Are these pro's the best in the business or just a paid driver and climber/plank-walker (not that I know how a gamer would gain the physical ability to climb faster by having a TV in front of them).

i am sure they were not "the best in the business" but i still think it was quite a interesting experiment.

The driver was introduced as a professional Stuntman and Hobby-Race driver. He said he had 30 years of experience and was real good driving through the obstacle course normally and completely failed in 3rd person mode, where the gamer was much better.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
