This is all great news for the site, I'm really happy for you ioi. Just one minor question, but that's more of a thing that's going on for the past years =P, is the site speed ever going to increase (significantly)? I fear major businesses and the likes want high speed sites with easy access. Is there a plan to improve this?

Well this is a tough one. To be honest, I've yet to really figure out what causes the site to be "slow". The speed definitely improved with this latest version (as we moved away from heavy use of flash) and CPU useage (for the user) is down to more normal levels now - i.e the site isn't that heavy now. In terms of server CPU and bandwidth I'm not sure there is much more we can do - I know we have a few queries that aren't really optimised and these can really slow the site at times (especially when uploading new data or adding up totals etc). The main issue though is probably with ads and unfortunately all I can do there is keep getting on to our ad providers and get them to upgrade their servers.
So it is a complex issue really but something that I definitely want to improve. Do you feel the site is significantly slower than other similar sites then?

If you mean with similar IGN/Gamespot, then no you're right, it isn't significantly slower. I just have the feeling the site speed isn't optimised somehow. I know it can't be as fast as a regular forum or blog site, but because the site is split up, and less data is on one specific part of the website, the speed should go up right? Ad's aren't a problem (for me that is), but getting from let's say VGchartz to gamerConnect is taking 4-5 seconds for me.
When looking at Alexa.com (you're probably familiar with it), it says this : Very Slow (3.986 Seconds), 90% of sites are faster. Don't know if that number is up to date though?
But I guess, comparing game sites with regular isn't really fair, so I don't know how fast it can and should be.
