So what can you say about Wii Music, Wario Land Shake It?? I guess Nintendo should abandon 2D scrollers and Wii Series games.
No just those two games, because there are plenty of examples of 2D scrollers and Wii games doing great, Wii Party may also be a game that should be abandoned (at least in the west), if its sales don't pick up
And then if I can't generalize that 2D scrollers and Wii series games don't sell based on those examples I gave you, then why can you generalize that 3D games don't sell? Make up your mind...
Can you name the last 3D core game that sold Wiis?
I already listed 2D sidescrollers and Wii Series games that didn't sell, your argument is already invalid. You presented your argument as if those games obligatorily sold consoles while 3D ones didn't. If I could find an exception about those 2 genres not moving systems, then the opposite can be said for 3D games. There will be exceptions to the "rule" where 3D games move systems. So nintendo is not doing anything wrong.
No, because I've pointed to ones that do, you haven;t points to ones of core games that do, see, that's why my argument isn't invalid, because while there are failure of 2d and expanded audience, there aren't successes on 3D core
So you're saying Nintendo should only be creating new 2D games of its core franchises? Then by that logic why would we even need another console after the SNES from Nintendo? I say If Nintendo's 3D core games are still making them profit (which most obviously are.) and if they help to keep Nintendo competitive and innovative in the industry (which they do.) then I can't really see a problem with Nintendo's longtime strategy of making 2D core games along with 3D core games.
Listen I have a deep love of Nintendo's 2D games as you obviously do too and I also really like and respect the 3D ones they make and as long they're still making both you won't see me complaining on a forum saying that they should stop making a certain type of game especially when it's still profitable and desirable for Nintendo to do so.
