Reagan lifted the country out of a terrible malaise brought back confidence. For those who don't remember or who were not around then you might not understand. The economy rocketed, my pay which was hovering at 5.00 an hour in the late seventies hit 14.00 an hour in the first 4 years of uncle Ron. And I was doing the same job as a machinist.
