Interesting (and a bit disappointing for a Civ fan like me). I thought a new iteration in one of the most famous and acclaimed PC franchises - with several years between main entries - would sell way more in its first weeks. Slow burner or flop? Time will tell.

Ah yes, that's correct. I forgot about missing Steam sales and I also think the irrational Civ fanboy in me expected more, while Firaxis is probably content with Civ V sales. Civ was probably never as big as I thought in the first place.

Lawl I keep posting way late but whatever.

Plus many fans including me are not happy with CiV. That game was a step backwards from day one if you ask me.
