Some of you people need to seriously see what the Gamecube and Xbox did last gen weekly

Not to mention how when Gamecube And Xbox uset to get most NPD's between 180K - 230K was seen as "very good"

The console market is doing brilliantly compared to the past

people forget 1 year ago PS3 had a price cut and got slim and Wii had a price cut too

hence the massive YOY decline for consoles.

Of course sales are still great compared to last gen unit wise but compared to last couple of years sales are horrible. The fact is that whole market is massively down even compared to 2007 which is not good news when developing costs have exploded compared to last gen. Gaming industry needs to grow all the time as developing expenses go up. Actually if we go by financials market was doing a lot better last gen with almost every publisher posting profits (except MS).
