Unless a woman has poor social skills, I find it hard to believe they would have trouble finding commonalities with other women. I as a guy find it difficult to relate with women even on just a platonic level (unless she's a geek like me) but I have shitty social skills and I pretty much spend my freetime in front of a computer screen or a game console so it's no wonder I have difficulty relating to women. And like I said, women with poor social skills don't have many male friends either.
I know of one gamer chick online and she has more girlfriends than guy friends. There's no reason why a gamer chick can't get along with other women. There are gamer chicks I know in real life who have more guy friends than girlfriends but they are attention whores who think they are hot shit because the male:female gamer ratio is in their favour (and the gamer guys who drool over these girls and put them on a pedestal should be ashamed. There's nothing more sad than seeing a nerd with an ulterior motive being a "nice guy" to a girl). I have for the most part stayed away from gamer girls because of their reputation for being stuck up (the types that think they are god's gift to gamer guys simply because they are good looking and happen to be gamers). Though after meeting a gamer girl online that wasn't stuck up and seemed like a great person to converse with, I've changed my stance on that. But like I said, she has more girlfriends than guy friends. She's not an attention whore/tease like the many gamer girls I've seen (these are the types that have mostly guy friends).
