Depending on the conflict, most of the time these people aren't giving their lives for their country (at leas the people fighting in Iraq aren't). I also hate the fact tha soldiers rarely ponder why a conflict is going on and if it's even worth fighting in that conflict. Not to mention that the military is all about the loss of individuality, the loss of the ability to think critically, obedience, and dehumanisation. How can I not hate that?
