This was always going to be a problem with the way Sony report figures and the VGC estimate methodology. Sony reporting on the sum of its' parts and artificially inflating figures and VGC looking instead at a complete usable 'Move package', which could affect figures 4:1 (plus units on shelves and possibly pre-shipped units). How can we have any sort of confirmation of an active install base without looking at the software sales?
