They'll just bundle the game if they don't sell them all.

But they will still have to store that stock somewhere, which costs money.  Producing 7 million copies at launch just doesn't make any sense what-so-ever.  The game will sell a lot but it's not going to sell that many within the year.  There's just no good reason to have a giant surplus lying around.

I don't doubt it will eventually cross 7 million, I just doubt it's going to do that within the first few months.

True that, and the other fail to this story is that they haven't even gone gold yet. They are still tinkering around with the game.
