A lot of GW2 players will get it because of the no monthly fees. A lot of  players will not consider it because to them if it's free it'll mean it sucks too much to charge. I hardly doubt most of the WoW players even made research on MMOs before going there, they have premade opinions.

I think GW2 has a lot of MMO players excited though, even ones who didn't like the original. 

I agree, I in no way meant that it didn't. (I only played beta of the first and liked it... would have played that if not for wow).

Well, those people are a part of the "pay monthly fees for MMOs"-crowd, so I don't see why GW2 shouldn't be able to attract the attention of those who don't want to play non-p2p MMOs. It's already doing that.
