Well, I cannot falt someone for making a perilous journey north where they can be robbed, raped, die from heat exhaustion, or forcibly conscripted into a drug cartel on their way into what they hope and dream is a better future for themselves and their children.
The real culprit is not the "illegal aliens." US businesses who depend on their employment are the ones to blame. Don't blame Rosalita Gonzalez, blame her rich employer who employs her to housekeep for her. Don't blame Juan Rodriguez, blame Farmer McDonald with his "family farm" for employing illegal labor. Don't blame Rodrigo Cortez, blame the construction company he does dry wall work for hiring him instead of hiring a US citizen at a higher pay rate with workman's compensation and benefits.
We have scapegoated these poor people enough and bashed them too much. It is time for my fellow US citizens to take the blame in becoming dependent and flouting US employment laws.
