Zant I think was one of the better Zelda villains. The fight with him was just creepy, because he really just seemed crazy.
*spoilers*
He wasn't some awesome warrior, or wizard, or anything of that nature he was just a servant made powerful by gannon, made crazy by a lifetime of servitude and some obvious emotional problems stemming from that. The way he would just scream and run at you with his knives was very creepy.
