I think you responded to the wrong thread. I'm going off that the 3DS seems to be getting better support because of the specs, which shows developers are still graphics whores (in the sense that they often focus on graphics to the detriment of other parts of a game). That is the problem.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
