This is a really odd move. :
I mean, what ever happened to letting the customer decide what he/she liked? While none of the current gen console Sonics are the epitome of gaming greatness, I've enjoyed each one (except for Sonic 2006, I'll never play that one. 
). Despite MetaCritic's decree, I've had fun playing these games.
Still, this is only taking place in the UK, so that's an interesting move for sure.
All this said, I hope the best for Sonic Colors. Looks like Sega thinks this game is the bee's knees.
