You must be living in a pinkingdom...I mean, yeah probably couple of gaming sites were optimized, but no more than than. It wasn't on any spread unless you confused it with mobile web frenzy which was started by smartphones.
So, yeah we can be sure that a couple of sites may gimmicky try to add some 3D spice into their content, but that's all. Will it ignite 3D web frenzy? No. Will it become selling point of 3DS? No.
You can be sure about it, hell public won't perceive 3DS even as a 3D media player. Enough people are not that interested in watching movies on a tiny screen. Among portable watchers big split is also very much possible, as watching traditional media on superb screens like Super AMOLED or Retina or recently announced Clear Black Display will be much better than viewing limited amount of 3D movies on 3DS screen not so fine in terms of PQ. Appeal of traditional media players crowd led by iPhone/iTouch won't be challenged a bit just because of 3D feature.
3DS will and should stay as gaming heaven only. And not due to 3D but because of games in the first instance.
