It's finally here! Sonic 4 has just been released in the Apple Appstore so those with an iOS device can get the game NOW!!
First impressions are good.. (I have a 3gs) It's a Sonic game like back in those lovely 16bit days.. The new Homing attack is actually pretty well incorperated into the speedy gameplay and gives it a bit of fresh gameplay...
The controls are pretty good on the iphone but strange enough after finishing the first level all other levels except the boss levels were unlocked.. maybe this is an iphone version thing.. I don't know.. Also Sonic looks like an ass.... there is really something strange with his legs when he starts to walk.. it just looks silly... like he made a poopoo in his pants..
The special stages are utterly horrible on the iphone.. 
twisting and turning your device like a madmen... and the walls seems to be too sticky..
The exclusive Minecart level is....
also horrible.. do not like! be glad most of you won't play this..
Final Impressions: the game is way to easy... maybe it's the iPhone version but I already finished it... while I got it 2 hours ago.... and I have been playing NBA Jam on the Wii for a few rounds... Guess it would be an hour like Sonic 2.. It's not as good as the old genesis games... the game is more forgiving then the old games (more ways to get to the end of a level) and because of that it's missing a bit of that awesomeness when you where in the "flow" or "momentum" with Sonic and just every touch of the controller was perfect and Sonic flew through a level... I would give it a 7,5 ..
