People are not understanding what I meant when I said Nintendo could start an internet revolution. I never meant that Nintendo themselves would go out into the market and invest millions online to kickstart a revolution. I meant web developers and programmers will want to offer content that will draw in 3DS users.
Example after the Wii and DS both got browsers I know for a fact that website developers did adjust how they made sites to make them compatable with the DS and Wii. Infact several sites started up trying to get a piece of the market. Now all I'm saying is I expect the same thing could happen with the 3DS except this time website developers will want to start producing 3D content for their websites viewable by the 3DS.
Example I gave is movie sites offering 3D trailers for their upcoming films, game sites doing the same. Some websites may include 3D into their interface. If 3DS sells like hot cakes I suspect that several dozen to hundred sites will begin incorporating 3D into their sites.
After 3DS other devices will come out and the online revolution will speed up gaining steam and eventually 3D could become a norm for online.
So again I never meant Nintendo will finance a revolution, just that because of the 3DS web developers will begin to include 3D content on their websites and before you know it it will become norm.
