It really comes down to how much time you have to spend on the games. If you have a lot of time and not much to play I say go with GT5, it's the kind of game you have to put serious time into. If you don't have much time get Need for Speed, it's more pick up and play, so you can put in maybe 10 minutes a night in it. If you have time for both then grab both they do things very differently.
