I wish people would give up on the "Kinect is broken" nonsense. I'm sure there's just as much bugs in Wii and Move, but nobody makes a huge deal about them. For example, almost every Move game also requires the player to stand just like Kinect supposedly (and it's been debunked, not true) , but nobody mentions that at all. Or the constant recalibrations Move requires. Etc. And I'm sure there's tons of other issues with Move and Wii that people simply dont discuss.
There's just so many Kinect haters looking for every scrap of information to bash the tech with. An army of them really, and I think 90% of them dont even own a 360 anyway. Do you really think Microsoft is going to put out tech that just doesnt work? Give me a break. There will be bugs, naturally with such a new tech.
Like the whole big deal made out of "oh my gosh, you cant have piles of dirty clothes on the floor or kinect wont work!" what a stupid thing to make a big deal of. If the same thing was a caveat of Move or Wii everybody would laugh at anybody suggesting it was a problem.
Anyways, to your question: Nothing. Arguably Move has already failed, or at least not made a huge sales splash, and it hasn't affected Sony much has it? The same thing would happen with MS:Kinect.
