Those arguments would make MGS online the main game and MGS4 the spin off. Well I agree with naz that both are mothership titles. Didn't say otherwise, just believe that Symphonia is the bigger title of the 2.

I really don't see how Symphonia:KoR is a spin-off though. Fire Emblem X isn't a spin off of IX is it? Or Halo 3 of Halo 2 that's a spin-off of Halo? Being a continuation of a story doesn't make it a spin-off.

Well, in Final Fantasy it does, but Tales isn't Final Fantasy, and Namco already branded it as a Mothership Title. Neither is bigger than the other from a development standpoint.  Everything isn't a competition...
