Which franchise is next for Retro?

yes it was, Retro are better then that. If Nintendo is to capture back some of the core audience they need a good fps, or another genre adult oriented game. Retro would have the skill set to achieve this.

 

Donkey Kong can be made by any one of the Nintendo Teams.

The only way I'd be happy seeing Retro make an FPS is if it was something in the Perfect Dark/Goldeneye/Timesplitters mold rather than having them follow the current obsession with military FPS.

In fact I think a little part of me would die if I saw a Nintendo first party game released in that particular subsection of the FPS genre.
