Softie maybe, but I think that's just plain cool. It's just an extremely powerful ending, from Ganondorf ("Heh... the wind... it is blowing.") to the King of Hyrule (Yes, Link reaching out to him gets me every time).
Yeah, Wind Waker has a silly design choice or two (I actively repress the Triforce Hunt in my mind), but the way the game is presented, and how it all comes together... fantastic stuff.
