Tough to say.. They should be able to better satisfy demand in the beginning of 2008, but with the uber-casual Wii Fit coming up I can see demand skyrocketing again when that is released. Plus don't forget Mario Kart and Brawl will be out pretty soon too, so.. Wii just might stay hard to find throughout the new year. And if demand decreases, well.. then Nintendo could always drop the price. $199 is a price that'll have huge appeal. But I don't see that happening anytime soon. :p
