A handheld device isn't the same as a home device, plain and simple. If you said are hadnhelds "portable" consoles, then that's different. But a PS3 isn't a PSP.

The thread and poll said that handhelds are not consoles, not that they are not home consoles.

His wording is off, I'll give you that, I found myself a little confused at first too. Then I re-read it carefully and agree with his point, handheld devices and home consoles are not the same. A PSP isn't the same as a PS3, otherwise it's name wouldn't be PlayStation PORTABLE.

Uh he CLEARLY states what he means, you're agreeing with him, he clearly said when he thinks of the word console he thinks of a static (or rather HOME) console, by which yeah that IS a console it doesn't mean others just aren't consoles, it's not even a debate of semantics or definition, portables and home consoles ARE CONSOLES, a portable is not a HOME CONSOLE, and a home console is not a PORTABLE CONSOLE.
