I see myself as somewhere in between. While I still do enjoy some modern games, there are less and less games that are catching my interest, and I find myself going back to many retro games, smaller XBLA/Iphone games and having more fun with them than with modern games. So I can definitly see where Malstrom is coming from. I think he really has some valid points about how developers are really the ones leaving gamers behind, not the other way around. I find myself not having the patience to getting into the more complex/cinema heavy games these days. He is also litterally the ONLY person that predicted the Wii to be a major success, which is something worth noting :P |
I use to be part of the 100 few members of his board. Had to take a break since it started to feel like a cult. Everyone agreeing with everything he says all the time. When it comes to business, and industry insight. I agree with him, and believes he notice things the expert don't. When it comes to his games ideas as in how they should be. I'm totally against him since he seems just as hardcore as the people he said he is against.
