You don't really need to put a spoiler warning in, since the same picture is on the first page of TP's manual :|
I don't know who at Nintendo thought it would be a good idea. I realized who it was around the fourth dungeon of the game, when I checked the manual again to see how to do something, and realized they wouldn't introduce a character important enough to be on the front page of the manual so late into the game.
Nintendo spoiled their own game in the manual....
