I would say kinda but not completely.
the psp sold at 60 mill at 250 so I dont see 3ds selling any less
edit: Also psp was that price 5 years ago so today it is acceptable and 3ds will sell like crazy at least in japan even at the equivalent of $300 so they are kinda right. What would be wrong is if it has the battery life of the psp
